Police reported heavy congestion on Highway 6 and directed drivers to avoid the area while the demonstrations continued. A photograph taken at the Hemed Interchange showed vehicles backed up along Highway 1.
Traffic conditions remained disrupted into Wednesday afternoon as additional groups assembled at key junctions nationwide.
