Detroit Tigers Activate Jansen, Add Outman Ahead of Guardians Series
The Detroit Tigers activated closer Kenley Jansen and claimed outfielder James Outman before Friday night's game against the Cleveland Guardians, with Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize set to return over the weekend.

The Tigers also selected the contract of right-hander Jacob Waguespack and added outfielder James Outman to the roster after claiming him on waivers from the Minnesota Twins on Thursday. Outman was in the lineup batting ninth and playing center field. 156 with three RBIs in 49 games with the Twins.
Tarik Skubal is expected to be activated and start on Saturday. The left-hander had arthroscopic surgery to remove loose bodies from his left elbow. 70 ERA in seven starts before landing on the injured list.
Casey Mize is expected to be activated Sunday and start the series finale against the Cleveland Guardians. 27 ERA. Mize missed his past two starts due to right abductor inflammation.
