It also includes locations in Arlington, Alexandria and Bethesda. Deals are sourced directly from restaurants and verified weekly. The developer, who goes by Ali, announced the project on Reddit's r/washdc and r/nova communities. The posts received thousands of combined upvotes and prompted dozens of feature requests. Ali stated the app will remain free and described it as a personal project.
Ali registered the venture as a Wyoming LLC, citing low formation costs, privacy protections and lack of state income tax. Commenters suggested additions such as bar events and cheapest-drink filters. One user noted a keyboard display bug that has since been fixed.
