Dianna Russini Resigns from The Athletic After Resort Photos with NFL Coach Released

Dianna Russini, 43, resigned from her position as Senior NFL Insider at the Athletic on Tuesday, according to a report. The resignation follows the publication of exclusive photos by Page Six showing Russini and Mike Vrabel, 50, an NFL coach, together at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona.

The photos depict Russini and Vrabel hugging, intertwining fingers, lounging poolside, and taking a dip in the water.

Russini stated that the images do not represent the entire group of six people who were present during the day and emphasized that NFL reporters commonly interact with sources outside stadiums and venues. " Crissy Froyd publicly criticized Russini, tweeting alongside Russini's resignation letter, "We know who you really are and what you’ve been up to for years" and added, "I’m sure you were told to submit this or that you’d get fired instead.

" She also declined an offer for Russini to act as her mentor and said, "I can honestly say I have never slept with a player or coach for professional gain.

" Page Six also reported last week that Russini was sidelined by the New York Times. Meanwhile, a sportscaster commented on her podcast on Monday that a number of female sportspeople have felt very comfortable in getting out there and blasting specifically her.
