DoorDash Report: Cheeseburger Meal Averages $12.94 to $28.28 Across U.S. Cities

A DoorDash report found the average price of a cheeseburger, fries and soda ranged from $12.94 in Austin, Texas, to $28.28 in Anchorage, Alaska, with most other cities falling between $13.39 and $15.41. Laredo, Texas, ranked second at $13.39, followed by Lincoln, Nebraska, at $13.86, Detroit at $14.99 and Philadelphia at $15.41.

The average price of the meal increased 3.2 percent over the past year.

Avocado prices rose 12.4 percent from the previous quarter and milk prices rose 8.3 percent in the same period. Jessica Lachs, chief analytics officer at DoorDash, said local labor markets and operating expenses explain much of the variation. “There isn’t one economy.
