Drone strikes target Russian supply routes as fuel shortages persist in Crimea and Moscow

Ukrainian drone strikes have continued against a highway used to move fuel and supplies into Crimea, according to reporting on the campaign. The R-280 highway runs from Rostov-on-Don to Crimea along the western coast of the Sea of Azov and has been identified as a key target.

Sergey Aksyonov, the Russian-backed head of Crimea, said in a statement on Wednesday that the fuel supply situation remains tense and will persist for some time.

Fuel lines appear in Moscow In Moscow, lines of cars have formed outside petrol stations in recent days. The shortages extend beyond Crimea, with some stations in the peninsula reporting that petrol remains unavailable for sale on certain days. Aksyonov warned that the effects of the supply disruption are beginning to appear in daily operations.
