Dua Lipa Opens 100-Book Collection of Banned Titles Inside Porto Bookshop

Dua Lipa opened the Manifesto Library inside the Livraria Lello bookshop in Porto, Portugal, Euronews reported. The permanent collection contains one hundred books that have been banned or restricted, many for themes of race, sexuality or content aimed at LGBTQIA+ readers. The library is part of the BABELL – City of Books international festival.
Lipa said the project grew from her Service95 Book Club, which she founded to connect writers and readers. “When I founded the Service95 Book Club, my ambition was for it to become a home for writers and readers, wherever they are and whatever their circumstances,” she stated in a press release.

Euronews reported that Lipa is scheduled to curate the Southbank Centre’s 2026 London Literature Festival, which runs from 21 October to 1 November 2026. The same report noted her recent release of the live album 'Dua Lipa – Live From Mexico', her 2017 debut album’s 450 weeks on the UK Official Albums chart, and her marriage to Callum Turner.
