Dustin Poirier said he would end his retirement if the UFC offered him another fight against Conor McGregor. Poirier has been retired for ten months. He made the comments during an appearance on the “Weighing In” podcast.

“If it was realistic and they called me and said, ‘Hey,’ I would probably get back in the drug-testing protocol and get licensed again, yeah,” Poirier said. Any potential bout would occur after McGregor’s scheduled fight against Max Holloway at UFC 329 on July 11.

Poirier said he does not expect McGregor to perform as poorly as Nate Diaz did in a recent bout against Mike Perry. He added that McGregor’s punching power should remain intact despite the five-year layoff, while questions about timing, athleticism, and movement remain unanswered.

Poirier also noted that Holloway has been taken down in his last three fights, more than in the rest of his career, and said the accumulated damage could affect Holloway’s performance against McGregor.
