J. Brown to the New England Patriots on Monday in exchange for a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. ESPN reported the trade was finalized after weeks of discussion.

Brown, 28, averaged 1,258 receiving yards per season during four years in Philadelphia. In the 2025 season, Brown recorded 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. He suited up in Super Bowl LVII and LIX for the Eagles and helped the team defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX with 43 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Brown said he has been a Patriots fan since childhood. "This is my team since I was a kid," he said. " Brown revealed he kept a sizable Patriots man-cave rug in his home throughout his time in Philadelphia.

He said the rug came from Amazon and had been there for a few years. When the trade news broke, Brown posted two photos of himself as a child wearing a Tom Brady Patriots jersey. " The article was published on June 2, 2026.
