Eight teams set for 2026 Men's College World Series in Omaha
Alabama and Oklahoma secured the final two berths Sunday. The eight-team field includes first-time participants West Virginia and Troy.
ESPNAlabama defeated St. John's 7-2 in the Tuscaloosa Super Regional to earn its sixth trip to the Men's College World Series and first since 1999. Oklahoma claimed the last available spot by winning its super regional.
Field composition The 2026 bracket features an entirely new set of eight teams compared with 2025. West Virginia and Troy will make their first appearances and open against each other on June 12. North Carolina and Ole Miss are also in the field. Ole Miss won the 2022 national title over Oklahoma.
Schedule Games begin Friday, June 12, on ESPN.
The championship series is scheduled to start June 18 at 8 p.m. ET if necessary. Regular-season results between Alabama and Oklahoma showed Alabama winning two of three games in Norman.
