Eight Trump-Endorsing Podcasters Question Iran War at Two-Month Mark

Podcaster Joe Rogan dismissed online speculation about a deep rift with President Donald Trump over the Iran war during the latest episode of his podcast, Semafor reported. Rogan, who recently visited the White House, insisted that a viral clip showing Trump putting his hands on Rogan's shoulders at a recent Ultimate Fighting Championship event was not tense.

Instead, Rogan said the interaction involved Trump delivering news about taking up the cause of psychedelic therapy research at Rogan's urging.

This comes as the Iran war conflict nears the two-month mark. During his 2024 presidential campaign, President Donald Trump appeared on 14 longform 'bro' podcasts.

Of those, eight hosts have questioned or criticized the Iran war, while two have endorsed it. Semafor reported that this dissent highlights challenges for Trump among podcasters who backed him. One such host, Theo Von, endorsed Trump in 2024 after having him on his show.

” Von asked of the Iran war in his episode this week. “I just don’t know. ” These statements reflect broader questioning among podcasters Trump engaged during his campaign.

The White House did not directly address the criticism from prominent podcasters when reached for comment, but insisted that Trump campaigned on denying Iran the ability to produce a nuclear weapon. “What matters most to the American people is having a Commander-in-Chief who takes decisive action to eliminate threats and keep them safe, which is exactly what President Trump did with the successful Operation Epic Fury,” a White House spokesman said.

Separately, the Trump administration is reclassifying marijuana to make it easier to study its medicinal uses, a move reported by Axios and supported by figures like Rogan.
