El Grande Americano Defeats Original Version in Mask vs. Mask Match at AAA's Noche de Los Grandes

El Grande Americano defeated OG El Grande Americano in a Mask vs. Mask match at Lucha Libre AAA’s Noche de Los Grandes event on May 30, 2026, in Monterrey, Mexico.

The newest acting GM for AAA, provided commentary for the four-match card. The Mask vs. Mask stipulation is a sacred element in Lucha Libre dating back to Lucha lore.

The match began when OG El Grande Americano struck El Grande Americano with a guitar taken from the masked in-ring mariachis. Both men used tables, chairs, an office chair, a guitar, and a walking stick during the bout. Julius and Brutus came to assist OG El Grande Americano.

Rayo and Bravo Americano neutralized them on behalf of El Grande Americano. Blind Mexican comedian Ojitos later whipped OG El Grande Americano with his walking stick.
