Eli Lilly Reports Retatrutide Weight Loss Results in Phase 3 Trial
Eli Lilly reported results from a late-stage trial of its obesity drug retatrutide. Patients who stayed on the highest dose lost an average of 28.3 percent of their body weight after 80 weeks.

Eleven percent of patients on the highest dose stopped treatment because of adverse events. When all participants were included in the analysis, average weight loss was 25 percent. Discontinuation rates due to side effects in earlier trials of approved drugs Wegovy and Zepbound reached up to 7 percent.
The company has not yet released full safety data or announced next regulatory steps for retatrutide.
