# Ella Langley Shares Childhood Church Experiences on Podcast Ella Langley, a 26-year-old country music star, discussed her upbringing in a small town in Alabama as a Southern Baptist during an interview on the This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von podcast.

She stated that her church conducted judgment houses around Halloween, described as a haunted house for Christians. Langley's youth group took her to a judgment house featuring a car crash scene, where she got scared and raised her hand to get saved again when asked.

Langley attended church every Sunday and Wednesday until she was 18 years old. Her life revolved around going to church in rural Alabama, and she was homeschooled for many years. She grew up in the same house where her dad grew up, and an old barn across the street from her house was used for church activities starting in hay bales before moving to the church.

Langley's grandparents on her father's side nurtured her love of music. She was the first girl in her family and started to match pitch with her grandma as a baby.
