Emory University Named to 2026 Forbes New Ivies List
Forbes included Emory University among 20 schools on its 2026 New Ivies list. The list ranks ten private and ten public institutions based on employer hiring preferences.
Forbes placed Emory University on its 2026 New Ivies list, which identifies 20 colleges whose graduates receive high marks from employers. The private research university is located in Atlanta, Georgia. It was founded in 1836 and named after Methodist bishop John Emory.
Forbes selected the schools after surveying more than 100 C-suite and hiring executives. The executives rated institutions and described how artificial intelligence is altering entry-level hiring. Nearly 25 percent of respondents said AI would reduce their need for entry-level college graduates. Sixty percent said AI would change their staffing needs.
Several schools on the list have added AI-related requirements. Purdue University announced an AI working competency graduation requirement in December. Magnus Egerstedt, provost of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, stated that success in an AI environment depends more on liberal arts training than on traditional high-tech disciplines.
Emory University is recognized for its liberal arts colleges and its programs in health sciences.
