England Advances Past Norway in Geopolitics World Cup Match

England defeated Norway in a Geopolitics World Cup match in Miami on Sunday. The result advanced England to the next round. Norway's coach said the team would not play the game again.

A goal by Jude Bellingham stood after FIFA stated there was no evidence the ball touched an overhead wire. Norway disputed the decision. Norway coach Ståle Solbakken said the team felt hard done by but had reached new audiences during the summer.

England coach Thomas Tuchel said he was not happy with the performance and that the team made life difficult for itself. Jude Bellingham responded that the coach may not know what it is like to play in those conditions.

“I don’t think we will play the game again, so that’s how it is.”

Argentina defeated Switzerland 3-1 in extra time.

Swiss striker Breel Embolo received a second yellow card for diving. Switzerland coach Murat Yakin said the rule destroyed the game and was unnecessary.

“It’s completely not understandable.”
