England completed a six-wicket victory over India in the third T20 at Taunton, finishing the chase of 181 with nine balls remaining. Alice Capsey scored 82 from 43 balls after England lost two early wickets. She hit nine fours and three sixes in a 137-run partnership with Heather Knight.

Knight remained unbeaten on 70 from 42 deliveries.

Her innings included the fastest fifty she has reached for England in any format. Knight had entered the series with limited recent form but produced her highest score of the summer.

India reached 180 for five, led by Harmanpreet's 56 from 40 balls. England conceded 57 runs in the powerplay. Lauren Bell took two wickets for 36 runs. Sophie Ecclestone effected a direct-hit run-out from mid-off.

England's next match is a warm-up fixture before the T20 World Cup opener against Sri Lanka on 12 June. Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is due to return from injury. Capsey's performance places additional pressure on the current opening partnership ahead of the tournament.
