Norway forward Erling Haaland scored two goals in a FIFA World Cup match against Iraq. The first goal came when Haaland converted a chance created after the Iraq goalkeeper was caught out of position. The second goal resulted from a goalkeeping mistake that left Haaland with an open net.

A broadcast clip showed the goalkeeper, Jalal Hassan, misjudging the play and allowing the ball to reach Haaland. Haaland had not scored in Norway's earlier matches at the tournament. The goals marked his first of the current World Cup.
