Washington ExaminerA temporary exhibit titled the “Donald J. C. 5 million pages of Department of Justice files on Jeffrey Epstein, bound into 3,500 volumes of 800 pages each.
The documents weigh 17,000 pounds and stretch 574 feet across 20 bookshelves. The Institute for Primary Facts assembled the collection after downloading the files in March. Two box trucks transported the material from New York to Washington.
A section of shelves remains empty for files still to be released by the Justice Department. ” Three parallel lines chart Epstein’s sexual-assault allegations and felony conviction, Trump’s allegations and felony convictions, and the documented occasions when the two men appeared together. The display does not accuse Trump of wrongdoing.
Trump has denied involvement in Epstein’s crimes. Epstein died by suicide in 2019. ” He added that the exhibit aims to maintain pressure on the Justice Department to continue investigating Epstein’s crimes.
“Every one of these books has evidence of criminal behavior, and the thought that there’s no more investigation to be had is … infuriating for the survivors,” Garrett said. Garrett compared the tactic to public pressure that led to passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. ” he said.
The Institute for Primary Facts worked with survivors of Epstein’s crimes while preparing the exhibit. Many attended the earlier New York showing, which drew roughly 10,000 visitors, and plan to attend this week. On the second floor, a display of candles honors survivors and victims.
Visitors may write notes to survivors and reflect on their experience. The exhibit runs June 9 through June 12 by appointment and is free to attend.
