Explosions Reported Near Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island and Hajjiabad

Explosions were reported near Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island and Hajjiabad in southern Iran’s Hormozgan province. One maintenance worker was killed and two others wounded while performing duties, Iran’s IRNA news service said. Iran’s state-run power company Tavanir reported a 4,200MW reduction in electricity supply after damage to more than 2,000 points on the grid.

Tavanir’s chief executive called for empathy and support for the sector amid summer heat.
