Lil Tjay, born Tione Jayden Merritt, a 24-year-old rapper, was arrested at the scene on Tuesday and charged with disorderly conduct.
He was released from custody the same day, per records from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. His attorney, Dawn M. Florio, stated that Merritt faces no charges related to the shooting and described contrary online reports as false rumors.
