Fairlife suspended production operations across the United States after a ransomware attack granted unauthorized access to a portion of its systems, including production-related systems, New York Post reported. Coca-Cola, which owns the Chicago-based dairy brand, announced the incident on Thursday and said it took some operations offline in response.
The company stated that product quality and safety were not affected.
Fairlife’s Canadian operations continued without change. Coca-Cola informed law enforcement and engaged cybersecurity experts to investigate the breach and restore systems. A spokesperson said no further updates were available as of Friday morning.
Fairlife generates more than $3 billion in annual retail sales and produces lactose-free milk along with protein shakes.
