Falcons Draft WR Zachariah Branch After Misdemeanor Arrest
The Atlanta Falcons selected wide receiver Zachariah Branch in the third round of the NFL draft on Friday night. Branch was arrested early Sunday morning in Athens, Georgia, on two misdemeanor charges. Team officials stated the incident did not affect their decision.

Com reported. Branch was charged with obstructing a public sidewalk and obstruction of a law enforcement official. An officer gave multiple verbal commands to Branch to move from the sidewalk, according to a police report.

He is a great schematic fit and also a great personal fit for what we believe in and how hard he works. ' Branch played two years at USC before transferring to Georgia last year. He finished the 2025 season with 81 receptions for 811 yards and six touchdowns with the Georgia Bulldogs.
