Fanatics Sportsbook Partners With IC360 and Signify for Bad Actor Program

Fanatics Sportsbook announced a partnership on Thursday with Integrity Compliance 360, Inc. and Signify Group to create the Bad Actor Program. The program will monitor social platforms for abusive and threatening content directed at athletes, coaches and officials, then place identified individuals into IC360’s ProhiBet Bad Actor program to restrict their wagering.

The initiative is scheduled to begin at the start of the U.S. college football season in late August. IC360 will work with Signify Group’s Threat Matrix service to scan multiple platforms. Athletes and officials will be encouraged to report abusive direct messages, after which Signify will analyze reports, assess severity and escalate serious cases for investigation.

If conduct crosses a criminal threshold, law enforcement will be contacted. Fanatics Sportsbook will suspend or permanently terminate accounts of customers found to have engaged in abusive, threatening, defamatory or harassing conduct toward sports officials, players or coaches.

Fox News reported that the program expands on IC360’s existing ProhiBet platform, which already restricts wagering by athletes, coaches and trainers.

Matt King, CEO of Fanatics Betting and Gaming, said the program will hold bettors accountable for threats made against players, coaches and officials. He added that it aligns with the company’s values of respect and tolerance and urged other operators to join.

Scott Sadin, co-CEO of IC360, stated that threats of violence and harassment in sports at arenas and on social media are increasing at an alarming rate and that addressing such individuals is crucial to protecting athletes and stakeholders.
