Twenty primary healthcare centres will receive commodities and another 20 will receive equipment. The equipment includes labor and delivery tools, hot suction machines, blood pressure monitors, oxygen devices, theater equipment, neonatal intensive care units and maternity unit side labs. Fifteen rural ambulances and six vehicular ambulances form part of the donation.
One vehicular ambulance is designated for Toro local government area. The shipment also contains 17,000 maternity kits for pregnant women. The supported facilities span the three geopolitical zones of the state.
Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate said the federal government has conducted similar distributions in 35 states. He stated that more than 45 million Nigerians receive health services every quarter under the current administration.
He added that Bauchi State has four federal health institutions established or upgraded under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that more than 15 new primary healthcare centres have been directly funded and revitalized by the federal government, with more than 100 additional revitalizations completed in partnership with the state.
