The Bureau of Land Management held a federal oil and gas lease sale in New Mexico's Delaware Basin on May 20. The final tally exceeded $4 billion in high bids and rental payments. The prior New Mexico lease sale record stood at $972 million. 6 billion for acreage in the sale.
