BBC NewsA female submariner told the High Court in Livingston that a colleague raped her at the Faslane Naval base on 11 May 2023. The woman stated she needed help returning to her cabin and later awoke to find a man on top of her.
The accused, identified in court as Jake Wilson, 38, from Gosport in Hampshire, denies rape and has lodged a special defence of consent.
Second charge Wilson also faces a charge of sexually assaulting a second submariner on several occasions between October 2021 and November 2022.
