FIFA assigns training sites for 39 World Cup teams in 19 U.S. states
FIFA announced the training locations for 39 of the 48 national teams competing in the 2026 World Cup. The sites span more than 20 cities across 19 states and will operate from June 11 to July 19.
ESPNFIFA released the final list of training bases this week for the 2026 World Cup. Thirty-nine of the 48 participating teams will prepare in more than 20 U.S. cities across 19 states. The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19 and is the first hosted by the United States since 1994. Eleven U.S. cities will also host matches.
Training sites by state Arizona will host Turkey at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa. California will host seven teams: Australia in Oakland, Paraguay in San Jose, the United States in Irvine, Qatar and Austria in the Santa Barbara area, New Zealand in San Diego, and Switzerland also in San Diego.
Florida will host Cape Verde in Tampa, Curaçao in Boca Raton, and Portugal in Palm Beach Gardens. Georgia will host Uzbekistan at Atlanta United's training center. Kansas will host Argentina at Sporting KC's facility in Kansas City and Algeria at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
Massachusetts will host France at Bentley University near Boston. Missouri will host England at Swope Soccer Village and the Netherlands at the KC Current training facility, both in the Kansas City area. New Jersey will host Haiti at Stockton University, Morocco at the Pingry School, Senegal at Rutgers University, and Brazil at the New York Red Bulls training site.
North Carolina will host Norway at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Germany at Wake Forest University, and Scotland at Charlotte FC's facility. Ohio will host Ecuador at the Columbus Crew training center. Oregon will host Jordan at the University of Portland.
Pennsylvania will host Ivory Coast at Subaru Park. Rhode Island will host Ghana at Bryant University. Tennessee will host Japan at Nashville SC's center and Spain at Baylor School in Chattanooga. Texas will host Saudi Arabia at Austin FC's Q2 Stadium, the Democratic Republic of Congo in Houston, Sweden at FC Dallas's Toyota Stadium, and Czechia in Mansfield.
Utah will host Bosnia and Herzegovina at Real Salt Lake's stadium. Virginia will host Croatia at Episcopal High School in Alexandria. Washington will host Belgium at the Seattle Sounders training center and Egypt at Gonzaga University. West Virginia will host Iraq at the Greenbrier Sports Performance Centre.
The remaining nine teams will train in Canada or Mexico. Iran, originally assigned to Tucson, Arizona, requested and received a move to Mexico.
