FIFA Fan Festivals in Atlanta and Philadelphia Draw Over One Million Visitors
Business Insider reported that FIFA organized 13 Fan Festivals across World Cup host cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Atlanta and Philadelphia events together attracted more than one million attendees with screenings, activations, and volunteer support.

FIFA organized 13 Fan Festivals in World Cup host cities across Canada, Mexico, and the United States, Business Insider reported. Attendance at the festivals climbed to over 2 million within the first week. Atlanta and Philadelphia combined hosted over 1 million visitors.
Atlanta hosted its festival at Centennial Olympic Park, about a mile from Mercedes-Benz Stadium where eight matches took place. Organizers said the event drew more than 500,000 visitors and averaged more than 27,000 guests per day. A 47-foot jumbo screen streamed matches daily, with smaller screens placed throughout the park.
The festivals featured sponsor activations including Bank of America charm bracelets, Coca-Cola stations, and activities from Home Depot, Michelob Ultra, and other companies. Nearly 3,000 volunteers assisted visitors while security was deployed at MARTA stations and surrounding areas.
Philadelphia hosted its festival at Lemon Hill. As of July 8 more than 425,000 fans had attended. The event will end after the final match between Argentina and Spain on July 19. Fans watched on a main projector screen and smaller screens stationed throughout the park.
The festival offered Bank of America charm bracelets, Coca-Cola selfie stations, foosball tables, and a mini-pitch for children. Nearly 3,000 volunteers kept the site and nearby attractions safe. Law enforcement secured the park and Philadelphia Stadium.
Chloe Martins, a soccer fan supporting Portugal, told Business Insider she enjoyed the neighborhood atmosphere. "Even though we're not at the actual game, I love seeing everyone in our neighborhood walking around to different bars and restaurants, people coming from the Fan Fest, and representing their countries," Martins said.
