Fiji's parliament established an Israel Allies Caucus on Tuesday at its building in Suva. The new group is the 65th affiliated with the Israel Allies Foundation worldwide. The caucus will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka.
Its stated goals include strengthening bilateral ties with Israel and promoting regional support for moving national embassies to Jerusalem. A signing ceremony included Prime Minister Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka and Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka. Josh Reinstein, president of the Israel Allies Foundation, also attended the event.
