Fisher Stevens Directs Netflix Documentary on Anna Wintour and Vogue Ahead of Met Gala

Fisher Stevens is directing a documentary about Anna Wintour for Netflix, with a focus on Vogue and preparations for the Met Gala, the New York Post reported. Stevens, 62, has been shadowing Wintour, who is 76, for the past few months. He accompanied her at Paris Fashion Week in March.

The documentary is co-directed by Stevens and his wife, Alexis Bloom. The project will explore Vogue’s global editions and reach. Stevens was spotted attending New York Fashion Week events in February.

The Met Gala is scheduled for Monday, May 3. Wintour attended the premiere of the 'Devil Wears Prada' sequel in New York on Monday night. She joined Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt at the event. The 'Devil Wears Prada' sequel is scheduled for release on May 1.

She appears in a gag reel of the sequel, according to director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna. Wintour attended the premiere for the Netflix docuseries 'Beckham' in London in October 2023.

She met Stevens through David Beckham. Beckham is 50 years old. Stevens won an Oscar for his documentary 'The Cove' in 2009. He won an Emmy for 'Beckham' in 2024. Stevens had a recurring role as Hugo on 'Succession'.

Beckham recalled in the 'Beckham' docuseries that he and Victoria Beckham felt they were 'drowning' in 2003 amid reports of his alleged affair with Rebecca Loos. Wintour handed over day-to-day operations of Vogue to Chloe Malle in September. She remains global chief content officer of Condé Nast.

Wintour also remains global editorial director for Vogue.
