Uthmeier further noted that residents, potential residents, and guests visiting common areas are invitees under the statute and cannot be expelled for carrying firearms.
The Tradition Community Association adopted the firearms ban earlier in May. WFLX reported that some residents supported the measure while others proposed allowing concealed carry with a permit. Port St. Lucie Police Department said in a May 15 Facebook post that it would not enforce the ban.
