Jansen was taken into custody at Jackson South Hospital after allegedly interfering with a medical emergency call. He is being held in Miami-Dade County on the out-of-state warrant and is expected to be extradited to Colorado. Beckham said he had not been contacted by law enforcement about the arrest until a Florida reporter informed him.

A TrustedHouseSitters spokesperson stated in April that the company was cooperating with authorities. Beckham urged pet owners to research sitters carefully when using online platforms.
