One family, linked to Houston-based Westlake Corporation, fell below the threshold after its fortune declined by $4.9 billion to $9.3 billion.
Ten families appear on the list for the first time. , the Lockton family of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Mills family of Northfield, Illinois. The families are based in 25 states. New York City is home to seven such families, while Atlanta and Chicago each have four.
Forbes calculated the figures using stock prices as of June 22, 2026, and excluded individuals who appear separately on its global billionaire list.
