Forbes Publishes 2026 30 Under 30 Asia List in Social Impact Category
The annual list published May 27 recognizes founders addressing food waste, infrastructure, and social services across the Asia-Pacific region.

The for-profit social enterprise sells surplus restaurant food in “surprise bags” at discounts of up to 70 percent through its app. Eat100 had more than 20 restaurants and over 10,000 users as of mid-April 2026. The app collects a 10 percent commission from vendors on each sale and turned profitable late in 2025, according to Anson Wong.
Eat100 focuses on budget-fare vendors near universities, train stations and residential areas and plans to add farmers selling produce that would otherwise be discarded. “Tackling food waste is the lowest-hanging fruit for individuals to create social and environmental impact,” Anson Wong stated.

Food waste accounts for almost 30 percent of Hong Kong’s solid trash, according to the Hong Kong government. Kai Hashizume cofounded Booon in 2022 in Nagasaki, Japan. The startup collects food waste from farms and processing plants, raises mealworms on the waste after a proprietary digestion process, and converts the insects into species-specific fishmeal recipes for aquaculture feed.
Kai Hashizume stated that Booon addresses rising fishmeal costs and concerns about overfishing anchovies. Belle Hayman and Benjamin Michelson cofounded FoodFilled. The Melbourne charity collects unsold food from roughly 170 supermarkets, cafes and bakeries and distributes it through partner agencies.

At Columbia University’s School of Social Work. Paras Kalura is COO of Migrasia Global Solutions, a Hong Kong-registered charity founded in 2018. Migrasia claims to have recovered about HK$280 million ($35 million) for migrant workers.
Paras Kalura joined in 2022 and oversees development of PoBot, an AI-driven chatbot providing legal advice to migrant workers. Manami Yamada’s company My Fit launched the Mylily app in 2021. The Tokyo-based service connects women experiencing menopause with doctors for video consultations, prescriptions and medication delivery.
My Fit has raised ¥160 million ($1 million), including from Anobaka. Shruti Chand founded Naarica in 2023. The company manufactures antibacterial, reusable menstrual underwear with a three-year lifespan that can replace up to 200 disposable pads.
Naarica’s products have reached more than 50,000 women in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. 5 million rupees in 2025 from investors including Saina Nehwal. Noureen Aysha is a cofounder of FemiSafe, which sells menstrual cups and environmentally friendly period products.
