Ford Plans Seven New European Models Including Electric Hatchback

Ford announced a plan to launch seven new models in Europe over the next three years, including five all-new passenger cars by the end of 2029 and two new commercial vehicles. The company said the models will be developed under a new brand platform called Ready-Set-Ford.

The first vehicle will be a rugged compact SUV from the Bronco family, built in Valencia starting in 2028 and offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

A new small electric hatchback will follow, aimed at restoring the driving characteristics once associated with the Fiesta in the B-segment. Ford is also developing a small electric SUV and two additional multi-energy crossovers to complete the passenger-car line-up before the end of 2029.

The company stated it will continue to emphasize commercial vehicles, with the all-electric Transit City van positioned for urban operators and offered in three body styles with a targeted range of up to 158 miles.
