A forensic report presented in court concluded that DNA recovered from the rifle and cartridges allegedly used in the shooting of Charlie Kirk is overwhelmingly likely to belong to Tyler Robinson. Sgt. Jennifer Faumuina read the findings during a preliminary hearing at the 4th District Court in Provo, Utah.
The report stated the DNA profiles are at least 1 trillion times more likely if they originated from Tyler Robinson as a contributor than if they came from four unknown unrelated individuals.
The samples were taken from the stock and grip of the weapon and from nearby cartridges. The court also viewed exhibits of engraved bullets displayed during the hearing. The rifle and cartridges were introduced as evidence in the case against Robinson, the Utah man accused of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk.
