Former AG Bondi to Testify May 29 on Justice Department's Epstein Files Handling

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform announced that former Attorney General Pam Bondi will testify on May 29 about the Justice Department's handling of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The committee subpoenaed Bondi in March while she was still attorney general.

President Donald Trump fired her on April 2, and she missed a scheduled deposition on April 14.

Democratic members of the committee introduced a resolution on Wednesday to hold Bondi in civil contempt of Congress for failing to appear at the earlier deposition. A spokesperson for the committee's Democratic members stated that Bondi has extensive personal knowledge about the administration's handling of the Epstein files and that her testimony is crucial for survivors and the public.
