A former NFL running back was arrested Sunday in Canton, Ohio, for allegedly failing to pay $50,000 in child support, according to the Stark County Sheriff's Office. The arrest occurred at an autograph signing at Prime Time Sports and Framing. Officials described it as a courtesy hold for Michigan, where the child lives, and said the man remains in custody.
The individual earned roughly $45 million during his NFL career. His attorney told TMZ the payments were calculated on an earlier salary level the player has not received in years. The former player, 34, retired after the 2021 season.
He has seven children with six different women. Last year a court entered a $25 million default judgment against him in a separate civil case after he did not respond to the suit.
