The device is an ultra-compact headphone amplifier and digital-to-analog converter that weighs 20 grams and attaches magnetically to the back of MagSafe-compatible smartphones or cases. The MD3 uses an ESS ES9039Q2M DAC chipset and four ES9603Q op-amps in a balanced circuit.
It includes dual USB-C ports that allow simultaneous audio connection and device charging.
The magnetic back plate contains 16 N52 magnets and an aluminum isolation plate to limit interference. 28-inch color LCD screen and physical buttons provide on-device volume control with 100 steps and memory function. Users can upload personal images to the device through a Vista button that accesses a photo album. The unit features internal aluminum shielding and precision CNC-machined casing.
