Fox Adds Live-Action Comedy to Sunday Animation Block for 2026-27 Season
Fox Broadcasting will move the fifth season of Animal Control into the fall lineup for the first time, placing it after The Simpsons on Sunday nights. The network's fall 2026 schedule largely mirrors the prior year with three nights of unscripted programming and sports on Friday and Saturday.

It will follow The Simpsons on Sunday evenings. m. Sunday slot while the third season of Grimsburg, which stars Jon Hamm and last aired in July 2025, will complete the night's animation block.
Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, American Dad and Krapopolis are scheduled for midseason premieres instead of the fall. The network maintained a similar overall structure to the current season with three nights of unscripted shows and sports programming on Friday and Saturday.
Medicine will remain on Tuesday nights in the fall after a successful first season. The show’s second season order increased from 12 to 14 episodes and will pair again with Doc, which was renewed for a 22-episode third season. Best Medicine is expected to conclude its run in early 2027 to make room for another hour-long program.
The unscripted schedule remains unchanged with Celebrity Name That Tune and Celebrity Weakest Link on Mondays, The Floor and 99 to Beat on Wednesdays, and Hell’s Kitchen and Special Forces on Thursdays. Several other unscripted series including new installments of The Masked Singer, Next Level Chef and Fear Factor: House of Fear are set for midseason.
Season three of Murder in a Small Town and season two of Memory of a Killer will also premiere in midseason.
Fox ordered three new series for the 2026-27 season that will not appear on the fall schedule. The drama Baywatch is described as one of the highest-profile new broadcast network shows. It will premiere in January along with The Interrogator and the unscripted series Marriage Market. The network plans to use NFL programming to help launch the new series.
