Framework announced on June 25 that it had secured cheaper PCIe Gen 5 SSDs from supplier Adata. Customers who pre-ordered a Framework Laptop 13 Pro with a 500 GB SSD will now receive a 1 TB SSD at a lower price. The company also said customers can order configurations with the new 1 TB or 2 TB SSDs.
Framework warned that CPU pricing is expected to increase soon. It expects to adjust the overall system price of the Laptop 13 Pro in the coming weeks for new orders. The Laptop 13 Pro was initially announced in April 2026.
Framework originally planned to ship the first units in June but delayed shipments to July due to issues with the haptic touchpad and custom display.
