'The Full Monty' Revival Included in Roundabout Theatre Company's 2026-2027 Season

The production will be directed by Leigh Silverman, with casting details yet to be announced. This revival is one of three Broadway productions and three Off Broadway productions scheduled for the season.

The upcoming season marks the first under the leadership of the incoming artistic director, who will assume the role in July. The lineup features two world premieres, three revivals, and two musicals. Some productions will star Bill Irwin, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, and Kara Young, although most casting information remains pending.

The Broadway productions include "The Imaginary Invalid," adapted from Molière by Bill Irwin and directed by Brandon J. Dirden, scheduled for fall 2026 at the Todd Haimes Theatre. The play is described as a comedy centered on a hypochondriac father scheming to marry off his daughter to a doctor.

"Mix and Master," a world premiere musical by Dominique Morisseau, will run in winter 2027 at the same theatre. It stars Ruben Santiago-Hudson and Kara Young and tells the story of the last record shop in the Bronx facing closure, featuring live DJ sets and exploring themes of legacy and survival.

The revival of "The Full Monty," with book by Terrence McNally, music and lyrics by David Yazbek, choreography by Connor Gallagher, and direction by Leigh Silverman, is scheduled for spring 2027 at the Todd Haimes Theatre.

The musical follows six men who form a striptease act, based on the 1997 film and the original 2000 Broadway adaptation. Off Broadway, the season includes "The Heart," a musical with book and additional lyrics by Kait Kerrigan and music and lyrics by Anne Eisendrath and Ian Eisendrath.

Directed by the incoming artistic director and choreographed by Mandy Moore, the production is based on Maylis de Kerangal's novel "Réparer les vivants" and will be staged in fall 2026 at the Laura Pels Theatre.
