G7 Finance Ministers End Paris Meetings on Iran War and Energy Issues

G7 finance ministers and central bankers concluded their two-day meetings in Paris. The sessions focused on the war in Iran and the energy crisis, both of which continue to affect the global economy.

Pierrakakis represented the 21-member euro area during the talks. Pierrakakis told FRANCE 24's François Picard and Yuka Royer that participants held some differences but shared an understanding that a multilateral approach was key to addressing ongoing challenges. The meetings took place as economic pressures from the war in Iran and energy supply concerns persisted.
