G7 Nations Prepare Hormuz Maritime Mission After U.S.-Iran Agreement

French President Macron stated that G7 nations will do everything possible to ensure the Strait of Hormuz reopens following a U.S.-Iran agreement. Macron said Britain, France, Italy and the Netherlands stand ready to contribute naval assets to the mission.
The maritime coalition could begin operations within two to three days once an agreement is reached, Macron told reporters. Officials emphasized that reopening the waterway must occur without the imposition of tolls.
