Gadi Eisenkot held a campaign event on July 11 in the living room of Michal Elmalem Abu in Dimona. Haaretz reported that about 40 activists and curious residents attended the gathering. Eisenkot sat in an armchair beneath a heavy chandelier.
He spoke about his childhood in Eilat and stated that he attended one political rally before leaving the military, which was for Menachem Begin. Eisenkot also said his mother grew old in southern Israel and lacked adequate medical care. Michal Elmalem Abu serves as his campaign manager in Dimona.
