He listed gains since then such as new roads, expanded electricity access, district health facilities, more schools and faster digital links.
The manifesto places emphasis on youth employment, digital innovation, technical training, sports and entrepreneurship. Barrow pledged continued expansion of opportunities for women in business, leadership, education, agriculture and public service. Government plans include further investment in irrigation, rice, livestock, fisheries and agro-processing to cut food imports.
Barrow also introduced websites and AI-powered engagement systems intended to reach younger, tech-savvy citizens. The next presidential election is scheduled for December. Barrow called for sustained peace and mutual respect during the campaign period.
