Gary Lineker said Cristiano Ronaldo stopped communicating with him after Lineker stated he considers Lionel Messi the superior footballer. Lineker, 65, made the remarks on The Louis Theroux Podcast on Tuesday, 9 June. "

He stated the Portugal forward and his supporters reacted negatively to the comparison. Lineker reported being told that Ronaldo "doesn't like him anymore" as a result of the comments.

I always feel bad because people have a go at me saying, 'Oh, you don't like Ronaldo'. It's not that I don't like Ronaldo. I think he's an absolutely incredible footballer.
