Gary Trent Jr. Agrees to Four-Year, $64 Million Deal to Stay with Bucks

Gary Trent Jr. agreed to a four-year, $64 million contract to remain with the Milwaukee Bucks. ESPN reported the agreement on July 11, 2026, after Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul and agent Lucas Newton informed the outlet's Shams Charania.

Trent has spent the last two seasons with Milwaukee. He averaged 9.7 points per game on 41 percent shooting, including 39 percent from three-point range. The first year of the new deal carries a salary of $15.2 million.

Trent signed for the league minimum in the summer of 2024. He then received a two-year, $7.5 million contract before the 2025-26 season but opted out of his player option to enter free agency. The Bucks retained his Bird rights.

Trent drew interest from several teams and explored sign-and-trade possibilities before choosing to return. He joins a backcourt that includes Tyler Herro and Caris LeVert, acquired via trade, along with Ryan Rollins, Kevin Porter Jr. and rookie Brayden Burries.
