The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza has been held in Israeli detention since December 2024. His lawyer located him and observed him to be badly bruised and struggling to breathe. Physicians for Human Rights Israel stated that Dr.
Hussam Abu Safia’s life is in immediate danger. @MarioNawfal reported that he was transferred to an underground interrogation center at Ramla prison. Dr. Hussam Abu Safia told his lawyer he was beaten by four or five guards.
He has been kept shackled and denied clean water, adequate food, and medical care despite chronic health conditions.
